How UPF Africa promotes peace in Benin

Nation presentation

Nestled in West Africa, Benin spans approximately 114,763 square kilometers with a diverse population, and French serves as the official language. Historically reliant on agriculture, particularly in cotton production and subsistence farming, Benin is now actively promoting economic diversification. By emphasizing sectors like mining, energy, and infrastructure development, the nation aims to build a more resilient and sustainable economy. Efforts to attract foreign investment and stimulate innovation are underway, as Benin navigates a path of economic transformation, addressing historical challenges for sustained and inclusive growth while preserving its rich cultural heritage.
