Nestled on the eastern coast of Africa, Kenya spans approximately 580,367 square kilometers with a diverse population and English and Swahili as official languages. Historically renowned for its role in the transcontinental trade and the Great Rift Valley's stunning landscapes, Kenya's economy has been anchored in agriculture, particularly tea and coffee production. Acknowledging the need for economic diversification, the nation is actively promoting sectors such as tourism, technology, and infrastructure development. Kenya is committed to attracting foreign investment, fostering innovation, and addressing historical challenges as part of its vision for transformative growth. As the country navigates its trajectory, it strives for sustained and inclusive development while preserving its rich cultural heritage and embracing modern advancements.

 

Brief presentation of UPF :

Founded on September 12, 2005, UPF Kenya has 7000 Ambassadors for  Peace. They include Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, Prime Minister (2008-2013), current Prime cabinet Secretary and formerly Vice President, H.E. Musalia Mudavadi, Head of Catholic Church, His Grace Archbishop  Philip Anyolo, deputy head of the Muslims,  Sheikh Hassan Sukyan, head of the Anglican church, His Grace Archbishop Jackson ole Sapit. Others include the Speaker of the National Assembly  Rt. Hon. Moses Wetangula, vice chancellor emeritus Prof. Crispus Kiamba, numerous Anglican Bishops, several Governors, corporate leaders, and business barons. UPF Kenya has undertaken impactful projects such as the Hyojeong Academia research project (IAAP), IAPP caucus, and National Assembly/Senate support, along with the annual Peace Road.

 

List of government or large-scale organizations and institutions with which UPF collaborates in our nation

  • UPF collaborates with the national assembly where we have established the IAPP caucus. For over five years the national assembly sponsored members to attend World summits in Korea and numerous Africa summits
  • Through IAAP and Hyojeong Academia,  UPF has MOUs between the Catholic University of East Africa and Sun Moon University, Tangaza University and UPF Kenya, and an ongoing Hyojeong research project involving African scholars in Diaspora and those within Africa on issues of humanity and social sciences.  In addition, there is a team of professional rapporteurs who come in handy whenever needed
  • UPF through IMAP has established a media team to build and advance reports pertaining to providential development both international and regional/local, especially during ILCs
  • UPF is in partnership with the Catholic Church, Anglican Church, and Muslim community on matters of peace education, family education, and character competence/education
  • The Kenya police band is a member and supporter of our annual Peace Road events.
