UPF-Burkina Faso Strengthens Peace Efforts through Courtesy Visit to King Naaba Kiba of Yatenga

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso – In preparation for the upcoming National Summit for Peace and Social Cohesion, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Burkina Faso organized a series of activities aimed at mobilizing stakeholders, strengthening partnerships, and promoting national unity under the vision of peace.
Visit to the Naaba Kiba, King of Yatenga
On Sunday, a delegation of twenty Ambassadors for Peace, both natives and residents of the Yatenga Region, paid a courtesy visit to His Majesty Naaba Kiba, King of Yatenga. The delegation was led by Cheick Malick Ouedraogo, spiritual guide and founder of a local NGO.
Held at the Royal Palace of Yatenga, the meeting sought to foster dialogue and collaboration between traditional authorities and UPF in the build-up to the national summit.
The visit had several key objectives:

Mobilizing Ambassadors for Peace and ensuring their active participation in the summit preparations;

Promoting peace through concrete actions that serve the nation;

Encouraging Ambassadors for Peace to practice UPF’s Five Principles of Peace, thereby contributing to national unity and reinforcing the peace network;

Cultivating a culture of peace through increased public involvement;

Promoting the UPF’s mission through media engagement.
Speakers at the meeting highlighted the importance of unity and collective responsibility in shaping a peaceful and prosperous Burkina Faso. They underscored the relevance of UPF’s five guiding principles in building a new, harmonious society.
The event also enhanced UPF’s visibility, attracting leaders and community members who expressed strong interest in supporting its initiatives for peace and development.
