UPF-Burkina Faso Honours Cheick Abdoul Aziz Aguib Soré as Ambassador for Peace at Ziara International Conference

On Saturday, 13 September 2025, UPF-Burkina Faso was invited by Ziara International to a public conference focusing on peace and social cohesion. The federation was represented by Mr. Thomas Diarra, Secretary General; Mr. Arouna Barré, Deputy Secretary General; and the Director of Public Relations, along with Ambassador for Peace El Hadj Karim Kouraogo, a member of the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace (IAPP).
Among the speakers were leaders from different organizations, including the main lecturer, Cheick Abdoul Aziz Aguib Soré.
During his remarks, Mr. Diarra congratulated Cheick Soré and his organization for their commitment to peace and unity. He presented the Five Principles of Peace Ambassadors and honored Cheick Soré with the Ambassador for Peace distinction.
In his response, Cheick Soré expressed appreciation for UPF’s values and teachings, recognizing their alignment with his own mission as a spiritual leader. He pledged to collaborate closely with UPF and to actively support the upcoming National Summit for Peace and Social Cohesion.
