UPF AND IAYSP IN CONGO-BRAZZAVILLE COMMEMORATE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

Pointe-Noire, Congo-Brazzaville-- On March 11, 2023, a gathering in commemoration of International Women's Day was conducted at the Congolese shippers' council room in Pointe-Noire, co-sponsored by UPF-Congo-Brazzaville and IAYSP-Congo. The event was themed "The Role of Women in the Economic Development of Nations"
 
Mrs. Lydia Zodji, the national president of the Women's Federation for World Peace-Congo and wife of the secretary general of the Universal Peace Federation-Pointe-Noire, graced the ceremony as the chief speaker. In her speech, she highlighted the contribution of women, without prejudice to their field of work or position in society, to the economic development of families and nations at large. The ceremony was attended by over 320 young people, comprising both male and female students mobilized by the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace, in partnership with the Departmental Bureau of Students of Pointe-Noire.
 
Mr. Gycent, the vice-president of the IAYSP Student Branch, along with other partners, spearheaded the event which was initiated by the student branch of IAYSP-Congo.
