To close the month’s activities, UPF–Liberia partnered with the New Liberian Women Skills Training and Advocacy Center to launch the “Peace Starts With Me” Campaign on 27 September 2025. The event, led predominantly by women, featured a peace parade from Fendell Campus to Red Light, Paynesville, followed by an official program promoting unity and civic responsibility.
Distinguished guest speaker Hon. Tiawan Gongloe, veteran politician and human rights lawyer, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the vital role of women in sustaining peace and justice in Liberia.
Representing the UPF–Liberia leadership were Amb. McCarthy G. Teayah, Secretary General; Rev. Pamela S. M. Mwanga, National Leader and Overseer; and Dr. Roosevelt G. Jayjay, President.
The campaign was inspired by Amb. Miatta Sirleaf, who was appointed Ambassador for Peace in the United States, sought to replicate the “Peace Starts With Me” movement in Liberia.
